Answers
We are working very close with extension services.
But we do not wish to make the source code open as that could lead to unwanted outcomes such as use by companies who would then extract data from farmers or sell them things they dont want

Thanks for reply. What you said totally makes sense regarding open source. Thanks.. I found way of uploading the picture through app. Thats very good and is extensible. ( was concerned about its help for other crops like Moringa and other plants which I am growing.) about 5 years ago.
