Leaves turning brown

Cocoa (cacao)    Netherlands

The leaves on one of my plants are going brown.
It is about 6 months old now. Been potted in soil. Originally from Cuba

I have four growing.

Two perfectly healthy
One stunted growth
One turning brown.

The fact that the leaves are turning brown from the edges suggests a physiological stress (the plant is not getting enough of some key nutrient or its water balance is wrong). I suspect that it may have run out of nutrients in the soil or be root bound (the roots are touching the edge of the pot, having exhausted the nutrients).
Switch to a lager pot and change the soil.

Did as you said and moved to bigger pots.
The roots were not full thou. Hardly any to be honest.

Moving to larger pots was a good move. Cocoa can be sensitive to accumulation of excess salts and minerals in the soil, which can be more of a problem when it is growing in a pot, especially if you have hard water in your area.
Having more soil should reduce the concentration of minerals a bit, but they may accumulate again. If possible, use pots with drainage holes to allow some of the minerals to flow out after watering.
