neem oil

Lime, sour    Singapore

Remember u mentioned about using neem oil to rid of bugs on my plant, well how do I use it? Is it by spraying on the underside of the leaves or on the soil around the plant. Thank you.

I assume you are referring to the earlier question posted https://plantvillage.org/posts/7047-l.... Neem oil can be used both as a foliar spray or soil application. Usually if plants are young, foliar spray (both surfaces of leaves) is effective. Since your plant is also infected with sooty mold it is better to go for foliar spray because it also has anti fungal property.

Hi Kok
Here is some information from UN FAO "A neem solution loses its effectiveness within about 8 hours after preparation, and when exposed to direct sunlight. It is most effective to apply neem in the evening, directly after preparation, under humid conditions or when the plants and insects are damp. There exist different recipes for the preparation of a neem solution. "
