can viruses be found in the seeds of infected plants

please i want to know if the seeds of an infected okra plant may contain the virus too and whether the virus will survive and harm the plant when such seeds are planted.

In okra the virus diseases are mainly transmitted by insect vectors like whiteflies. The research shows viruses are not seed borne (i.e., the virus won't survive on seeds and infect the plant). For more information on virus diseases and nature of transmission see our okra entry
