What can cause such disease?

It looks to me like Fusarium. Has beet been grown on that spot before?

David, yes, they grow sugar beet for 2 years on the same field. I agree with you and will test such plants this year - we plan to have experiments in 2 different regions. So far, these are pictures made by Syngenta support team. about 7 years ago.
