I am preparing to start pumpkin farming
I am a small scale farmer based in the central highlands of Kenya in Gatundu south Constituency tee zone a small village called Mundoro.
The Geographical distance between my village and the Capita city Nairobi is less than an hour’s drive. I sell my farm produce in the said town and have good returns.
Recently, I have been eyeing pumpkin farming for I prospect good returns. What is the best variety for me to plant in my location and where can I get the seeds. I have tried to check with agro vet shops within my reach to no avail.

Before deciding what to do here are some questions
1) what is your soil like!
2) how much water do you get and at what time
3) what do neighboring farms grow? What problems have they found
4) what seeds (of other plants) can you find. Are they good quality (do they germinate?)
5) can you afford fertlizer
6) can you buy it locally?
