Grape leaves turning yellow

Grape    None Given

I'm wondering if anyone can help me to find out why some of my grape leaves are turning yellow. I have closely checked for insects, but all seems clear. Could the vine be lacking anything such as iron?

It is possible that their could be an iron deficiency or other nutrient deficiency. The vine also might not be getting enough water.

Where are you located? If in the US, drought in the western and recent dryness in the Northeastern US (summer 2016) may cause quicker soil draining, which may negatively impact the vine.

Would you be able to describe the yellowing? Is it in a specific pattern?
Information on this grape gardening page from the University of Minnesota may help you diagnose the issue.

Nitrogen deficiency is the other probable nutrient problem for leaf yellowing in grape. The symptoms looks similar to iron deficiency. Depending on where you are, most US state university extension services offer plant nutrient testing. Call or google your state's ag extension office for instructions on how to submit samples. In general: For grape, you'd cut several leaves off, including the petioles, refrigerate them, and send them in - but each state has different specific instructions. They test the leaves and tell you if iron or nitrogen levels are low and if/how to amend your soil.
