bottle Gourd fruits not produce

I am from India, I planted some bottle gourds in my home garden past 3 months. Water is supplied regularly. Flowers are growing and small fruits are growing. There is no pests are there, leafs are good condition. But Fruits are not grows big size. fruits are destroys in small size after flower. They are not grown like big size gourd. Why & What is the problem for that? what type of grow fertilizers could i use? Tell me the solution for that. I send a picture for that. fruits are grows like that in the picture. fruits don't grow in a big size. i am waiting for your reply. thank you

The main issue with bottle gourd is pollination even though it produces large number of male and female flowers (generally 10:1 ratio). Pollination depends on bees. In general if the pollination does not occur, female flower will grow initially but fall off later. So if your garden is lack of bees you should go for hand pollination.
Hand pollination can be done by using soft brush. Run the soft brush on opened male flower and then on to female flower. Repeat the procedure for 2 to 3 days. (Both flowers look similar but male flower grows on long peduncle and female flower on short peduncle but it has an ovary in the shape of the fruit).

Sorry for my late response, but in the interim i have one egg plant growing. But its only one for the time being. Lots of flowers but only one eggplant. I am based in Delhi/NCR. Temperatures is around 35 degrees, but its monsoons now so intermittent rains alternate days. While its not raining, its hot and humid. A second issue with my bottle gourd, after pinching i noticed small female flowers. But after 3-4 days i see they are not growing is size and drying off. Is it due to the rains?. Thanks almost 8 years ago.

Hello, A few days ago i shared my concerns with cucumber and bottle gourd not flowering well. Finally after almost a month and a half of lots of male flowers my cucumber has started producing female flowers. Hope there are more to follow. Just thought of sharing my experience that there might be one long wait after the male flowers for female flowers to develop. My bottle gourd i am still waiting for the female flowers. Some that appeared dried and fell off. Lets hope it also picks up. Thanks
