Rice plants dying with dried leafs.

Rice    None Given

On my paddy field, plants are dying with dried leafs. When I pluck the plant, I found some insects on the root. Can you please tell me what is that insect, and the reasons for plant dying?

I think the plants are dying because of the root rot and crown rot disease (Fusarium moniliforme). The larvae you are seeing may be of rice water weevil. But I don't think it is major problem in your region. To diagnose the disease further we need more information like climatic conditions, recent agronomic practice carried out, crop growth stage (when you transplanted the rice?), precent of plant infected etc.
