Cassava fertilization

Cassava (manioc)    None Given

I am doing an assignment about cassava but I can't find any documents about cassava fertilization. I have tried and tried to find some documents about it but I have found nothing. Please share some documents about cassava with me, especially regarding cassava fertilization.

This paper is on the effects of fertilization on the entire cassava plant.

http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/...#

This is an article on Cassava fertilization in Tamil Nadu, India. Their recommendation for fertilization is at the very bottom of the Summary.

http://www.eeca.ipni.net/ppiweb/bc-in...

This link is to a pdf download in which the authors list Cassava fertilization requirements for different countries. They also give links to other papers.

Sorry it's so long! I hope that these help. I searched "Fertilization of cassava" using the google search engine to retrieve them.

Cassava is a useful crop precisely because it does not need much fertilization (I am assuming you mean nutrient fertilisation and not flower fertilisation during breeding of cassava).
That said, people have fertilized the crop and the FAO did a series of experiments on what works well

http://www.fao.org/ag/aga/agap/frg/ah...

One reason India and Thailand grow so much more Cassava that Africa (relativelu) is that they employ fertilization (and monculturing) Nice discussion here and some details on inputs http://r4dreview.org/2013/01/nrm-in-c...

I suggest searching for 'cassava' and 'fertilizer' on Google Scholar. This might be a good starting point. However, the 'right' amount of fertilizer depends very much on the production situation defined by the soil type, seasonal climate and the amount of yield you're targeting.
