I found this great article all about banana production in Uganda produced by the National Agriculture Advisory Services (NAAS) in Uganda:

In it they mention these specific varieties by use:
i) Cooking banana: Nakabululu, Muvubo
ii) Beer banana: Kiasubi Kayinja
iii) Roasting banana: Gonja.
iv) Dessert banana: Bogoya, Ndizi (apple banana).
