Chili plants not growing well
Chilli Pepper None Given
I have some very sad, pale, wilted looking chilli plants, with very few chillis on them. They have been growing for about 5 months now. What am I doing wrong?

This chilli plant don't have the minnimals conditions to grow: cold temperature, poor illumination and a very small pot. Remember, this plant is a tropical plant and it needs so much solar light, warm time and a good fertile soil.

Can you provide a bit more detail about the plants and what you have tried? It looks like they are container grown , indoor plants? Where are you located? What is the temperature like where the plants are kept? over 9 years ago.

Yes sorry I'm a bit of a novice. They are in small containers, and kept on a windowcill in a temperature of around 10-15 degrees Celsius. I live in the East Midlands in England and one concern I had was that of sunlight. I live in a ground floor flat with other buildings around which limit sunlight. But someone else

I think you've identified the problems. Too cold and not enough sun. Chilli plants (along with tomatoes and eggplant) need full sun (meaning sun all day long) and warmth (> 25 deg).
Of course November is too late - maybe next year. Can you put it on your roof? In a glass box? Also it will need probably triple the pot size once it gets going. As to watering, wait till the soil is almost dry when you stick your finger in the soil. If it is wet, leave it. You can even wait till the plant just starts to wilt.
