Each spring my thornless blackberry shrub gets some kind of branch fall off. Some branches fall off at the very bottom of the plant. I have tried to closely look at the ends of the branches but see no signs of insect damage or rotting. I have tried to spray insecticide at the bottom of the shrub as well as bulb rotting powder but that doesn't seem to help. The branches are rich green and healthy until they fall down.
