Diseases of date palms
Dates None Given
Please help me to know the reasons for the emergence of these symptoms. Is the reasons based on plant pathology? Note I am waiting in the outer shell of the branches of the fruits which may show some of the symptoms .

Answers
This looks like inflorescence rot "El Khamj" mainly caused by two plant pathogenic fungi: Mauginiella scattae (whitish or pink rot) and/or Thielaviopsis paradoxa (brown to black rot). The disease can be managed by targeted spraying of fungicides to the base of leaves (spath emergence points) prior to the emergence of spaths. Hope this helps.

There is a disease called wilt of fruit bunch that I detected in Saudi Arabia caused by F. moniliforme and causes symptoms related to that in the photos above. We treated this disease in many farms using fungicides that should be sprayed early at the time of flowering.

Hi Ibrahim, Thanks for the good images. It will help us if you give more details about your problems. We need information like palm variety, weather conditions, fertilization and other agronomic practices you have followed. Also is there any symptoms on leaves? about 8 years ago.
