Fall armyworm status and distribution: According to Plant Protection Directorate, Government of Ethiopia in June 2017 FAW was identified in 6 Regions, 49 zones, 385 woredas (district) and 5,859 villages. Out of close to 2,35,030 Ha planted area, it infested (19 % of M. Ha) 455081ha.
